Creating Ecards For Websites

By Nancy Smith

Many of us have special creative talent which can now be shared throughout the world in the form of designing ecards for websites so that they can be sent by millions to their friends or loved ones. These cards are designed for special occasions such as Christmas, Birthdays, Valentine's day and also Anniversaries and so on. Needless to say the design must be original and you must submit it to the given email address and if it receives approval it will become a part of their free Christmas greetings collection.

The original card design can be sent as an email or it can be an attachment. If you know how to create a web page then you can send the web page as an attachment to the email. You must put your name, phone number in the email body and send it to the address mentioned.

Some important things to remember are that the artwork and the verses that you use must be your own and should not be borrowed by searching on the web or from books or any other friend, since this could lead to copyright issues. Size requirements may be mentioned and this must be strictly followed when you create a card. If the work is original then you will be given credit for the work and it will be mentioned but if it is from any public domain then this too must be mentioned by you so that due credit can be given in another additional line.

Even if your card gets rejected, this should not depress you as there could be various reasons for it such as its unsuitability for the particular occasion. If they accept your design then they have the right to add any music and make any other modifications to the card in accordance with the needs of their website.

After you finish submitting your ecard design to the particular website you will receive a communication which asks you to accept their terms and conditions. Once your card starts appearing on the web site there will be a credit line stating your name and this automatically gives you what is called bragging rights so that you can proudly add the link to any blog or web site that you have created. - 42631
